Be intentional in your relationships, authentic in your faith, and committed to spiritual growth. Love the kids in your group."A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:34-35). Invest in their lives. Be relational.“We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us” (1 Thessalonians 2:8) Family atmosphere. Build a sense of belonging. “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household” (Eph 2:19).Encourage Spiritual growth. “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness” ? “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (Heb. 3:13; 10:24)Get on your knees. “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need”( Heb 4:16) “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful” (Col. 4:2). “? who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured” (Unity. “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 15:5-6).Accept kids where they are. “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God” (Romans 15:7).Relax. Realize they are just kids. “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love” (Eph 4:2). Don’t give up on any member of your group. Do what it takes.“To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some” (1 Cor 9:22). ** Thank you for making an investment of your time in the lives of the teens at Chisholm Trail Church of Christ.
